We are excited to announce that Community Alternatives was awarded this All-Star Series vehicle through the WI DOT 5310 Grant. This is a 14 passenger vehicle which will be used to transport persons with disabilities to and from work, to scheduled appointments and events. The grant process took over a year. As you can see below, Marilyn (our bus driver) and the entire Community Alternatives organization is excited to provide this service to this community that we serve. (see photo below)
Community Alternatives Gets Loud at Lambeau!
On Saturday, August 4th, Community Alternatives sent a group of Packer fans to Green Bay for Packer Family Night!
Some Participants were surprised with the opportunity to attend Packer Family Night just hours before departure, and their reactions were PRICELESS! One avid Fan responded, ‘Yes! I want to see the Packers! I am going to see Aaron Rodgers!’ Other Participants prepared by purchasing new Packer apparel, and even creating Packer Fandom inspired art work in anticipation of the event. One Participant asked if he would be able to see the players, and he later shared that, ‘He had the best seat in the stadium! Another Participant shared that he and his brother had once been to a game, in ’82.’
Thank you to the exceptional Team Members who assisted with this years Packer Family Fun Night. Community Alternatives is truly grateful for the ability to provide these individuals with such monumental opportunities and experiences. Additional gratitude goes out to the Green Bay Packers for their hospitality and the accommodations provided to our group this weekend.
